Read MoreAs they do every year, the Upper Elementary students worked very hard for the entire month of February to research, write an essay and prepare a speech about a black person that has made a significant contribution to society.
Lower Elementary and Full Day Primary students were invited to these presentations on Wednesday under the Solar Awning. They walked around listening to Upper Elementary students’ performances of the biographies they prepared.

The “Story of the Universe” is one of the first of the "Great Stories" told to Elementary students. The Great Stories are a series of lessons that lay the foundation for the exploration of all topics, with the first one laying the basis for Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Geology.
The 6th year students of the Upper Elementary headed off to New York City today to participate in the Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN). This year our students represent, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, and Italy. Stay tuned for more updates from NYC!
Upper Elementary students in Ms. Satter's class planned a going out for supplies for the classroom rabbit this week. Students researched the best vegetables for rabbits to eat, the best place on island to buy the supplies and then did a going out to get the supplies. Classroom rabbit Jost is very thankful for their efforts!
Ms. Morrison's class had an Art Extravaganza this last Tuesday. Students spent the day working to their hearts content with soft pastels, watercolors, acrylics, calligraphy work, creating mandalas, macrame and making clay!
The Upper Elementary class put on a dynamic presentation on Greek Mythology featuring gods and goddesses today for the Lower Elementary Students! Under the direction of Virgin Islands Montessori School & Peter Gruber International Academy Upper Elementary Teacher, Kate Ludick, students prepared facts to present, dressed up in costume displaying key signature pieces and performed a group dance with audience participation! The event concluded with questions and answers from both parents and students!
