Youth Role Model 2023
/Congratulations to one of our most active and engaged students! The Parents Association of the University Bound Program (formerly the Upward Bound Program) at the University of the Virgin Islands is honoring Senior DESTINY DONASTORG for their Youth Role Model Award.
The Association honors an outstanding student from each local high school on the island. The honoree must be a senior who has maintained a B+ or better GPA; has displayed leadership qualities; has excelled in music, fine arts, or athletics; is active in his/her church and/or community affairs; and will enroll in a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2023.
Destiny will receive her award at the 32nd Annual Youth Role Model Awards luncheon in May or June. The venue, date, and time will be announced at a later date.

FEMA National Youth Council - Region 2 Youth Preparedness Volunteer (collaborated with teens from different states and territories for natural disaster preparedness)
Humane Society volunteer
Art is a Verb Director

St. Thomas Reformed Church (Sealed a double amputee's roof to stop leaks and clean hurricane debris)

The University Bound Program is a college preparatory program designed to assist low-income and/or first-generation college students to complete high school and pursue post-secondary education. This non-profit organization sponsors activities to assist students with scholarships to pursue higher education.
