Fall Athletes Celebrate Their Success

On Wednesday, we celebrated the success of our Fall sports teams at our final PGIA assembly of the semester. Mark Daniel, the Interscholastic Athletic Association president was present to hand out awards to our superb VIMSIA athletes. Amongst those recognized were Gavin Johnson, the lone varsity boys volleyball player on the All-District team, and Alivia Arroyo, D’Keisha “Alannah” Jordan, and Brooklyn Donavan, who were named to the varsity girls All-District team. Aliva also was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the entire district. Our varsity and middle school girls volleyball teams also received the first place trophies for winning their respective divisions this year.

And in cross country, Arielle Shackell was recognized as the top middle school girls runner by placing the highest in all five cross country races this season. Congratulations to all of our fall sports athletes on their remarkable achievements! -Mr. Franz
