Deja-Marie Simon Awarded Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service Scholarship

On Friday night, Deja-Marie was a recipient of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award to recognize her efforts to model the path and spirit of Dr. King and her contributions to the VIMSIA and Virgin Islands Community.

Deja-Marie was one of seven students honored at a ceremony held by the Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas as a part of their annual service to honor the late civil rights icon. This year the ceremony was virtual in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
