VIMSIA currently has a Varsity Sailing Team, but we encourage our younger sailors to get started with the St. Thomas Yacht Club’s (STYC) Junior Sailing Program. The VIMSIA Sailing program is open to students 7th grade and up. Donations to the Sailing Team support travel for competitions.

This is a year-long program made up of high school students, and they compete against other sailing teams in St. Thomas, St. Croix, the British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. They also participate in regattas in the States against other top programs. All practices are held at the St. Thomas Yacht Club.

The VIMSIA Volts Sailing Team is selling long sleeved rash guards as a fund raiser for travel and competitions. If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact sailing@vimsia.org, or cduncan@vimsia.org.

Mondays - 4:00-6:00 - sailors should be there by 3:30

Fridays - 4:00-6:00 - sailors should be there by 3:30

Saturdays - 9:00 - 11:00 - get there early

Practices follow the school calendar.  If VIMSIA has no students at school on a Monday or Friday, then there will be no sailing.
