Sports Awards!
/Congratulations to all of our student athletes for participating on a VIMSIA sports team this school year. At a ceremony this week, we celebrated our athletes from the following sports: Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Sailing, Track and Field, and Soccer. Highlights of the season were:
Our varsity and middle school girls winning the IAA championship
Our varsity boys team finished in second place in their division
Our cross country runners placed high in the Virgin Islands territory championships
Our middle school soccer team (combined with All-Saints) winning the IAA championship
Our soccer team only losing one game on the season and finishing in third place.
Our VIMSIA sailing team was one point away from competing in the US Nationals, so it was also a strong season for them.
The VIMSIA Volt Athlete award was awarded to Kaden Fisher and Sofie Kappel, both in grade ten. This is our most prestigious award given to our athletes male and female, and its criteria is to go to the athlete who has been the most committed and consistent during the season in terms of attendance, performance and that has a major contribution to the team’s overall performance. Well done, VIMSIA Volt student athletes!
Finally, check out a great video montage produced by 10th grader Lexi Harris, which celebrates all of our student athletes and the amazing things they have done this year. Go, Volts!!
